The Event Technology Awards (ETA) 2023 closed the first day of Event Tech Live (ETL) London in a raucous manner. A total of thirty-six winners have been crowned and vFairs is this year’s standout technology, with four awards including Best Hybrid Event Platform of Production, Best Event Networking Technology, Best Virtual Event Platform and Best Sustainable Tech Solution.
Starting from 5pm, with flowing drinks and a festive atmosphere, ETA co-founder Adam Parry introduced the evening on the ETL Main Stage before handing over to comedian Andrew Ryan, the trained host, who had the nominees laughing and cheering before they announced the results.
Sixteen judges faced the significant challenge of choosing the very best technology from the entries, while the coveted People’s Choice Award ‘Favorite Event Technology Supplier’ was voted by readers of Event Industry News – First Sight Media won gold for this, in addition to a win for Best Live streaming and video production.
Gen Hall, senior program manager of event technology at Palo Alto Networks, was the toast of the industry’s next generation, winning Event Tech Rising Star, while DRPG’s Nick Fagan was voted Best Event Technologist.
Adam Parry comments: “It’s difficult to say anything original about these nominees and winners. Like the judges, who are all very familiar with innovation in event technology, I am once again beyond impressed with the companies and individuals who took the spoils at Event Tech Live.
“When you look at the list of people ranking the entries, and the competition, you really deserve it! Congratulations.
“My thanks to everyone involved, from top to bottom in the process.”
