The Belfry Hotel & Resort, in picturesque North Warwickshire, is proud to announce the promotions of six female staff members, showcasing the exceptional talent of its female workforce and ongoing efforts to achieve gender equality.
The interim positions, which took effect this month, recognize the award-winning resort’s steadfast commitment to the internal growth of its employees, as well as its ongoing efforts towards gender equality. The resort achieved a 50-50 split between male and female employees on the executive team in 2023 for the first time in its history.
Lynsey Smith has been promoted from Resort Desk Manager to Revenue Manager. With 25 years of experience behind her, more than 20 of which have been at the resort desk, Lynsey will use her expert management skills to lead both the revenue and resort desk teams.
Esther Pinedo succeeds Lynsey as Resort Desk Manager and has recently been nominated for the Front of House Manager of the Year Award at Hotel Cateys 2023. She brings a wealth of experience in customer service, having led the front office of The Belfry. team for the past eight years, and will now be responsible for the day-to-day management of the resort desk.
Sarah Hughes takes over as reception manager. Sarah has worked diligently as an Assistant Reception Manager for the past ten years and her knowledge and experience are second to none.
From her current role as Senior Reception Supervisor, a position she held for two years, Julie Marquie will now become Assistant Reception Manager. Rebecca Graffy, who has shown remarkable potential during her seven months at The Belfry, is moving from receptionist to receptionist.
With 12 years of experience in delivering the highest level of customer service to guests, Kerry Shepherd has been promoted to Guest Relations Manager.
