The shortlist for the 2023 20th National Outdoor Events Association Awards has been announced based on the event’s highest ever entry levels.

The judges for the awards commented: “Not only have we seen the greatest level of competition in the prize’s 20-year history, but the quality of the entries, the events, the companies and the people put forward, was exceptional.”

“We have noted in the past that the mere fact of being shortlisted for the NOEA awards should be seen as a high achievement. This has never been more true than this year and we congratulate everyone who has come forward. These were difficult awards to judge!”

The shortlist, announced today, includes some of the most recognizable people and brands in the events industry, as well as new and emerging talent from sports and music festivals to country shows, local government and cultural events.

The annual convention and awards dinner will be held on November 22 at the Roman Baths and Pump Rooms, Bath, and will see the industry’s best recognized in 23 categories including Best Small Event, Best Event Team, The Sustainability Award and Best Practice Award.

Susan Tanner, Chief Executive of NOEA, said: “This year we saw another huge increase in the number of entries, so we created more categories to recognize the diversity of the entries and the different events they presented. This is such a reassuring sign for our industry, that creating events of this quality is a sign of both trust and excellence.”
