Conference Leeds has welcomed a new addition to the team as Cindy Williams, who has international experience in events and conferences as a Conference Officer.
Cindy joined Conference Leeds in September 2023 after 11 years in the events industry, including roles in events organization and promotions at Village Hotels, Doubletree by Hilton and a range of international locations in France, Mexico and Spain. Her passion for travel, cultural exploration and passion for hospitality and tourism will all contribute to the city’s conference offering, placing Leeds on the world stage as a leading UK conference destination. She also has a master’s degree in international tourism in business and luxury.
Her role at the conference office includes providing critical support to conference organizers; from the bidding process to the post-event evaluation. From free and impartial advice on venue options to suit their needs, from Leeds’ unique portfolio of venues and venues, support with accommodation for delegates to welcome packs and the city’s social programs
Cindy’s first major project will be delivering the UK Corporate Games 2024, the UK’s largest multi-sport event focused on employee wellbeing, which will attract thousands of visitors to the city.
Commenting on her new role, Cindy said: “I was looking for a new challenge in the events industry, and with my background in international hospitality and tourism, Conference Leeds is a perfect fit for me. I look forward to promoting the city, especially its vibrant cultural scene and some of the great projects that Conference Leeds and the city are working on.”
