The first Event Sustainability Live (ESL), packed with content over two days, at ExCeL London in November, will see big names answer the big questions.
Supported by main sponsor Evolution Dome and stage sponsors GES, GL Events and DPRG, the ESL agenda, designed by organizer Event Industry News with input from the action-driven industry network isla, opens with positivity and ambition. ‘A Greener Future: the ecological footprint of festivals and events, and what you can do about it’ kicks things off on the Main Stage on day one.
Headline sessions include Tim Benson, chairman, technical and production director at ‘think-do’ tank Powerful Thinking, discussing the million-dollar question: ‘What is a sustainably powered event?’.
Synonymous with thinking about green events over the past 15 years, Shambala Festival’s Chris Johnson, co-founder of Vision: 2025, presents ‘What is Good When Talking Green?’ which examines industry standards for outdoor events from a first-hand and industry perspective.
And Lime Venue Portfolio kingpin Jenner Carter, head of marketing and sales director Jo Austin, talks about ‘Sourcing sustainable food for events’.
Adam Parry, co-founder of Event Sustainability Live, says: “Working with friends and industry partners, we’ve put together a busy show to build a new, sophisticated perspective on helping shows, conferences, exhibitions, festivals and all kinds of events. explore and exploit its sustainability potential.
“It’s not just about asking questions, it’s about answering them, and building a really solid platform that can serve every element of the live events industry.
“My thanks to everyone involved in ESL content, to our sponsors and exhibitors.”
