15The Hatfields Sustainability Centre
Since opening 15Hatfields in 2008, the aim has been to help companies organize events that not only inspire, but also educate and support them in their own sustainability journey. All activities on site are based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular: Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Climate Action. By prioritizing reducing food waste, eradicating single-use plastics and investing in renewable energy, 15Hatfields became the first Platinum ECOsmart accredited venue in the UK.

All delicious snacks and dishes served at 15Hatfields are sourced and prepared using sustainable practices by local, organic and Fairtrade suppliers. The fabric of the location
From furniture and kitchenware to stationery, every element of 15Hatfields tells a story. The team is always looking for creative ways to reuse and upcycle existing materials.
Throughout the room you will find poser tables and heating mats made from recycled plastic, cushions and banquet covers made from high-quality seat belts, coasters made from old tires, 100% recycled glassware and cutlery with 90% recycled material. Sheffield steel. The location also offers notepads made from recycled paper, pencils made from recycled newspapers and flip charts made from FSC-certified wood.
All items are thoroughly researched – the team don’t buy anything unless it has solid sustainability credentials and can be recycled or upcycled. Through their responsible sourcing practices and partnerships with Pulse Environmental and TerraCycle, 15Hatfields is actively pursuing zero waste to landfill.
